It’s the middle of October and we’re seeing a lot of goth-inspired fashions emerging in pop culture. From TV to magazine spreads, one common theme of the trend is the use of latex. Below we’ve shared a few of our favorite recent fetish-inspired latex looks.
Lizzo in Vanity Fair
Everyone’s favorite flute-playing pop star graced the cover ofVanity Fair’s latest issue channeling a new edgier look. Lizzo channeled glam goth fashion wearing some bold and fully accessorized outfits. For the cover look, Lizzo rocked head-to-toe red wearing a giant coat made of tulle, giant lace up platform boots, red fishnet stockings and topped off the look with gloves and a choker. Her hair and makeup added to the mood with spiky hair and a dark lip.
Other looks included an avant garde style dress featuring multiple legs, giving the effect of a spider. The dress featured black nipple rings and was accessorized with full length latex gloves and a headpiece. In another look, the singer wore a lace up style black dress accessorized with a choker and black latex wrist gloves, giving a BDSM inspired vibe.
American Horror Story
The latest season of AHS returns October 19 and while details surrounding the new season’s plot are minimal, the series has historically embraced a kinky vibe. Promotional photos for the latest iteration suggest this season will be no different.
The released images seem similarly goth and BDSM-inspired, featuring characters wearing black makeup, wearing accessories such as collars and of course, latex. One photo features two women wearing a studded latex hood and sporting black lipstick, while another image features an actor wearing black eyeshadow, black lipstick and even black blush, while sporting a harness and monster-like jaw piece. Harnesses were also featured in two other promotional photos, including one with a woman wearing latex briefs over fishnets with a spiked collar and another with an actor wearing a fully face-covered hood, a latex collar and spiked antlers.
These goth glam photos are all the inspiration you need to channel your kinky vibe, especially this time of year.
