It’s no surprise we love latex, and if you’re reading this, chances are you do too. While latex is our specialty here at Vex, lately we’ve seen other designers embrace our favorite material.
Versace
Donatella Versace is no stranger to designs that are bold, splashy and sexy. But for Resort 2022, Versace channeled the Greek goddess Medusa - known for her lethal looks - presenting a mod-inspired, brightly colored collection. Versace also added latex to the collection, giving the designs a fresh, new and differentiated feeling.
There’s the Medusa top, a bustier style cropped top in baby pink with a matching skirt. The bustier style is also available in a baby blue mini dress with exposed back zipper detail.

And while we love to see latex on the runway, you can get the same sexy latex styles for much less at Vex. Even better, you can customize your color options, so if pink or blue isn’t your thing, don’t worry! We recommend pairing theunderwire tank, the divide crop top, or the print garter bustier with the pencil skirt (classic, print, or zip back) to achieve the same look. If you prefer a dress, the bodycon dress, arrow dress, and CL dress offer the same sexy minidress effect.
Balenciaga and JW Anderson
Two other designers are experimenting with latex-like materials. Following the Euphoria premiere, Balenciaga debuted a small collection, collaborating with one of the show’s stars, Alexa Demie. The collection featured three looks, including a red latex coat. And for the fall 2022 collection, JW Anderson sent numerous models down the runway in latex-style pieces, including catsuits, leggings, and dresses.
Luckily, you can recreate all of these looks with Vex pieces, which are also real latex. If you’re a fan of outerwear, try the Flasher trench coat or the Madonna trench(also available in red!). Vex has many catsuits, but to achieve the same sleeveless runway look, try the sleeveless catsuitor theshort-cut catsuit. For guys, try the tank top ormuscle t-shirtwith lash leggingsfor a similar look.
For the label’s latest campaign, creative director Andreas Kronthaler channeled the signature Vivienne Westwood punk aesthetic by featuring in certain designs. The collection embraced the juxtaposition of soft, feminine details, such as ruffles, with edgy finishes, such as latex. The results are designs in interesting silhouettes, such as a batwing dress, and nuanced details.
