A one-shoulder mini cut in high-shine black latex, ruched by hand from hip to hem so the light never lands the same way twice.
This piece is built around a single idea: movement caught in a material that shouldn't move. The sweetheart neckline is drawn asymmetrically into one sculpted sleeve, leaving the opposite shoulder bare. From there the body is gathered into vertical ruching that wraps the torso down to a short, angled hem — the kind of surface that reads as liquid under any light.
The Craft
Every fold is placed by hand before bonding. Ruching latex is unforgiving work — the sheeting has to be eased into each gather at exactly the right tension so the pleats hold their rhythm without pulling the seams. The result is a garment that skims the body while catching light in dozens of directions at once.
Made to measure in our Los Angeles studio. Each Vex piece is cut and bonded for a single body, in the color and finish of your choosing.
