When Katy Perry's team needed a look for the Just Eat ad campaign that was as playful and larger-than-life as Perry herself, they came to Vex. The brief was theatrical, whimsical, and technically demanding — a custom ice cream-themed dress that had to read as both high fashion and high fun on camera, supported by a structured corset and a pair of Vex Opera Gloves that tied the entire look together.
This is the kind of commission where latex proves its range. The material most people associate with sleek, dark, body-conscious fashion delivered something entirely different here: a sculptural, candy-colored, production-ready garment built with the same precision and craftsmanship that goes into every Vex custom piece.
The Opera Gloves, the corset, and the ice cream dress were designed and built as a unified look — each piece reinforcing the others, each one handmade from the same 0.45mm English latex in our California studio.

And the ice cream dress itself was the centerpiece: a fully sculpted, decorated latex garment that had to be camera-ready, performance-durable, and visually arresting from every angle.
