For Halloween 2022, Doja Cat transformed into the Pink Villager from Animal Crossing — in a custom pink latex dress built by Vex.
The Villager’s look is deceptively simple: a bubblegum-pink dress with puffed sleeves, a full skirt, a ruffled hem, and the signature white-and-yellow daisy at the chest. Rendered in high-shine latex and styled into a full Animal Crossing world — bug net, blossoming trees and flowers — it became one of the most talked-about looks of the season.
In the Studio
The dress was cut and bonded from pink latex sheeting in our Los Angeles studio, with the daisy appliqué and ruffled hem built and applied by hand.
