The Vex Process

Custom Latex,
Made For You.

Twenty-six years of fit refinement. One garment built entirely around you.

A custom Vex piece isn't a product. It's a collaboration.

Over twenty-six years, we've refined what it means to build latex around a specific body — not a size chart, not an average. A specific person. Our custom process translates a vision into a garment that fits exactly, moves exactly, and reads exactly the way it was imagined. Whether you arrive with a fully developed concept or a single reference image, we build from there.

Who You'll Work With

Custom orders are led by Jeffrey, our studio manager, in direct collaboration with Laura Pulice — Vex founder and creative director. Jeffrey handles the day-to-day: measurements, timeline, quotes, communication. Laura signs off on every design decision. Between them, your garment gets the full weight of 26 years of latex expertise.

No outsourcing. No templates. Every piece handmade in our California studio.

Two Ways to Work With Us

Service 01

Made to Measure

Our established designs, built to your exact proportions using 3D measuring technology. Once your design payment is confirmed, you'll receive an invitation to our 3DMobil Tailor tool. If additional measurements are needed, Laura will send a detailed list.

Service 02

Custom Design

You have a vision. We bring it to life. Send your inspiration images, sketches, or reference photos, and our team collaborates with you from concept through finished garment. Fully original, fully yours.

"Ready-to-wear is built for the closest approximation of your body. Custom is built for your body."

The Process

1

Share the Vision

Send inspiration — photos, sketches, mood references, or a description in your own words. Not sure yet? That's fine. We'll refine it with you.

2

Precision Measurements

Fit is everything in latex. We'll walk you through the measurement process, including access to 3D body scanning technology for maximum accuracy. This is where off-the-rack falls apart and custom proves itself.

3

Quote & Timeline

Once the design is locked, we provide a detailed quote and production timeline. No surprises. No hidden fees. You'll know exactly what you're investing in and when to expect it.

4

Handmade Construction

Your garment is built in 0.45mm premium latex — the Vex standard — in our California studio. Every seam, every cut, every detail executed by our in-house team. This is where a design becomes an object.

5

Fitting & Adjustments

Your first fitting — virtual or in person — confirms the fit. One complimentary alteration session is included in your price. Additional refinement is available at $100/hour if needed.

Investment

Starting At
$2,500

For a full custom outfit, handmade in California

That's the floor. A simple silhouette in a single color, built to your measurements, runs around $2,500. From there, custom scales with complexity — and it scales quickly.

Most of the custom images clients send us land between $5,000 and $15,000+. That's not a scare tactic. That's the math of handwork.

Every detail you see in an inspiration photo is hours of studio time. Laser-cut lace. Custom hardware. Two-tone or multi-tone color blocking. Appliqué. Corseted boning. Hand-laid trim. Fully lined interiors. Intricate paneling. Matching accessories. Each one is a line item. They add up fast.

We're transparent about this upfront because we'd rather tell you now than surprise you at quote. Send your inspiration. We'll give you a real number.

For approved pieces, we offer 0% interest payment plans through Shop Pay — so investment-level custom work stays accessible without compromise.

Why Custom

The difference isn't subtle. It's the difference between a garment that works and a garment that disappears into you.

Every Vex custom piece is cut, shaped, and finished to your exact measurements. Your patterns are held on file for 90 days — so reorders and future modifications are straightforward. When our clients come back, the fit is already dialed in.
