Custom Shoe Service

Your Shoes.
Covered in Latex.
Made Iconic.

Bring us the pair. We'll transform them into a high-gloss statement piece that moves with your vision.

Custom latex shoe covering process at the Vex Clothing California studio

A Vex look isn't finished at the ankle.

Our latex shoe-covering service takes your existing shoes — heels, boots, platforms — and transforms them into custom latex statement pieces built to match your outfit, your drop, or your stage. Same silhouette you chose. Brand new surface. Mirror-finished. Hand-applied. Made in our California studio by the same team that builds the rest of your Vex piece.

Why Latex Shoe Covering

Vivid Color

Any Vex color, any finish. Match your outfit exactly, or contrast it intentionally.

High-Gloss Finish

The signature Vex shine. Catches light, holds attention, photographs cleanly.

Sculpted Fit

Latex conforms to every curve of the shoe — no bulk, no lift, no compromise on silhouette.

"A covered shoe is an extension of the garment, not an accessory to it."

The Process

1

Consultation & Design

Send us photos of your shoes along with your color, texture, or theme. We'll confirm fit with your custom order and finalize the direction.

2

Hand-Applied Latex Covering

Each pair is covered by hand in our studio. Every edge, every curve, every seam finished individually until the surface reads as one clean, continuous piece.

3

Material Requirements for Covering

Not every shoe can be covered. Latex needs a porous surface to bond properly, so your shoes must meet these requirements:

  • Woven fabric only. Leather, vinyl, patent, suede, and other non-porous materials cannot be covered.
  • Platforms must also be woven fabric. If the platform is plastic, foam, or wrapped in leather, the covering will not adhere correctly.

If you're not sure whether your pair qualifies, send us photos before purchasing anything. We'll tell you upfront whether the shoes will work, and save you the disappointment of shipping a pair we can't cover.

Why Us

Shoe covering looks simple. It isn't. Uneven edges, bubbling, seams that show — most attempts fall apart at the details. We've been building custom latex for 26 years. The same hands finishing your garment finish your shoes. That's the difference.
