Latex is unlike any other fashion material: it fits like a second skin, takes a mirror shine, and rewards a little care with decades of wear. We have been cutting and hand-finishing women's latex clothing in California for 26 years. This guide covers where to start, how to size latex correctly, how made-to-order works, and how to look after what you buy.
If this is your first latex piece, begin with something that is easy to style and forgiving to put on: a latex top, a skirt or leggings, or stockings. For a statement, choose a latex dress or gown or a catsuit or bodysuit. For shaping, see our latex corsets, and for intimates, our latex lingerie. Finish any look with latex gloves and accessories.
Every piece is cut by hand from flat sheet latex and assembled seam by seam in our California studio — not mass-produced offshore. Seams are hand-finished so they sit flat against the body, which is where cheaper latex fails first. Because each piece is made to order, you choose the color and size instead of taking whatever is on a shelf.
Latex does not stretch and recover the way spandex does, so fit is everything: it should feel like firm, even compression, never a squeeze you fight. Measure carefully, check the size chart, and if your measurements fall between sizes or span two (very common), order made-to-measure rather than forcing a stock size. Pieces marked Ready to Ship are in stock in standard sizing; most others are handcrafted after you purchase.
Almost everything we make is available in your choice of color, from classic black to bold brights. Browse the color chart, and match colors across pieces — a dress, stockings, and gloves in the same shade look intentional because they are cut from the same palette.
Latex grips dry skin, so dress with a silicone-based dressing aid or a dusting of cornstarch and ease each piece on slowly — never yank a seam. Buff the outside with a latex shiner or a little silicone for high gloss. Store flat or loosely rolled, away from direct light, heat, and metal (copper and brass stain latex permanently). Treated this way, a Vex piece holds its shape and shine for 20+ years. Our guide on how to wear latex covers dressing and first-wear tips, and the latex care guide covers cleaning and storage in depth.
Start with a piece that is easy to style, such as a top, skirt, leggings, or stockings. If you want a statement, choose a dress or catsuit. Either way, take your measurements first and check the size chart.
Snug and even, with firm compression and no bagging or sharp pulling. Because latex doesn't recover like stretch fabric, the right size feels like a second skin from the first wear.
Yes. Made-to-measure pieces are built to your measurements in your choice of color. If you fall between sizes or want specific details, start at our custom page.
Use a silicone dressing aid or cornstarch, ease the piece on slowly, and smooth it into place. Never pull hard on a single seam, and keep nails and sharp jewelry clear of the latex.
Wipe it clean after wearing, let it dry, and shine it with a latex shiner or a little silicone. Store it flat or loosely rolled, away from light, heat, and metal.
Most pieces are handcrafted after your order is placed, with turnaround of up to 6 weeks. Pieces marked Ready to Ship are in stock and ship sooner. If you need it by a specific date, request rush production before you purchase.
